Cool idea for an article, Gareth! Interesting approach with the wordmark style. An to give my thought on branding, those companies you’ve mentioned always pushed their mother brand in the first plan (Ferrari, Audi, Mercedes, BMW) and maybe that was something that made them even stronger! On the other hand, no one even uses a bit long ‘Lamborghini’ when talking about Gallardo or Reventon, maybe just a ‘Lambo’ part, so this is just the matter of the different marketing strategy. To add at the end, IMO, new E-Class is the best designed car in it’s niche, haven’t seen such a balance for a long time…

Nice post. Even though most people probably have seen these logos, but it’s cool to see them all in a collection together. It’s interesting to see how each car maker brands their separate models.
