This is the logo for a freelance web copywriter, living in Mallorca but working world wide online. The name of her business is Concise Content, so, I start playing with the C of copywrite then realized that I had 3 C’s in the name Concise Content Copywriter, then I suggested to get rid of the 3rd word (and my client accepted) and play around with copywriting sign © taking advantage of the to initial C’s I had.
I start directly in the computer with the drawing of the icon, matching the two C letters in order to convert it into a kind of bubble, the choice between several fonts I pre-selected, all of them sans serif, quite classical made up my mind between if I wanted it in uppercase or lowercase, and finally choose the font Base Nine (an Emigre font) look for the structure of the words, horizontal or vertical, and decided that vertical was the best way to add the icon I had designed previously.
