After going to Clown School in 2009, to become a member of the Portland Rose Festival Character Clown Corps, several of my classmates and I decided to form our own troupe. As soon as the name Stumptown Clowns was finalized, I immediately visualized a clown face among the letterforms of the words. I went to my computer and created the one and only concept for the design.
